Before Your Facial or Peel
1 Week Prior
- Avoid tanning beds, self-tanner, and prolonged sun exposure.
 - Discontinue retinoids, glycolic/salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and other exfoliants.
 - Pause waxing, threading, or depilatory creams.
 - Inform your provider of recent treatments, medications, or active breakouts.
 - If prone to cold sores, ask about antiviral prophylaxis before medium or deep peels.
 
Day of Treatment
- Arrive with clean skin (no makeup, sunscreen, or heavy skincare).
 - Men should shave at least 24 hours before.
 
Aftercare: Facials
First 24 Hours
- Skin may look refreshed, slightly flushed, or glowing.
 - Avoid makeup until the next day if possible.
 - No hot yoga, saunas, or heavy sweating until the next day.
 
First 2–3 Days
- Use only gentle cleansers and moisturizers.
 - Apply mineral sunscreen daily (Belle’s preferred: Alastin SilkSHIELD® SPF 30).
 - Avoid exfoliants and actives until cleared by your provider.
 
Results
- Facials provide instant hydration and glow, improving over several days.
 - Regular treatments enhance skin health and long-term radiance.
 
Aftercare: Light & Medium Peels
Immediately After
- Mild redness, tightness, or warmth is common.
 - Skin may feel ‘windburned.’
 - Only use the post-procedure kit provided (gentle cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen).
 
Days 2–5
- Peeling, flaking, or dryness begins.
 - Do not pick, peel, or pull at flaking skin.
 - Continue hydration with Epionce Renewal Calming Cream or recommended moisturizer.
 
Days 5–10
- Peeling resolves; brighter, smoother skin revealed.
 - Continue mineral sunscreen daily.
 - Avoid waxing, exfoliation, or retinoids until healed.
 
Aftercare: Deep Chemical Peels
Immediately After
- Redness, swelling, and sensitivity are expected.
 - Skin may feel tight, hot, or very dry.
 - Begin using Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar to support healing and recovery.
 
First 7–10 Days
- Peeling and shedding will be significant.
 - Avoid makeup until cleared by your provider.
 - No hot showers, saunas, or strenuous exercise for 72 hours.
 - Apply Alastin Nectar and mineral sunscreen daily.
 
2–4 Weeks Post-Treatment
- Redness may persist but gradually fades.
 - Do not resume retinoids, glycolics, or peels until cleared.
 - Continue hydration and barrier repair creams (Epionce Renewal Calming Cream may be layered with Nectar).
 
Healing Timeline
- Facials: Glow immediately, mild redness resolves same day.
 - Light Peels: Flaking begins Day 2–3, resolves Day 5–7.
 - Medium Peels: Peeling may last 7–10 days, results by 2 weeks.
 - Deep Peels: Peeling/redness 10–14+ days, full healing in several weeks.
